The true name of the Savior of the Bible, Yahshua, and His Father's name, Yahweh, are restored in this article. Superstitious scribes and misguided Bible translators took away these true names and substituted titles - God, Lord, Adonai. The Sacred Name is easily proved in good encyclopedias and dictionaries under the headings "Yahweh," "Jehovah," "God," or "Tetragrammaton." You may also request our free booklets or read online, "The Heavenly Father's Great Name" and "The Missing J," which prove these names conclusively from common sources and Scripture.
The Kingdom - The 1,000-Year Reign On Earth
There's a new world coming! A wonderful world without disease, sorrow or death. What's more, you can be a part of it. One great, world ruling government will soon be established.
Present national leaders will lose their positions to this world government.
One king will rule all nations.
This king is alive now and soon will come to power. Who is he? His Kingdom was prophesied ages ago. The prophetic account states, "And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Almighty One, and of His Messiah; and He shall reign for ever and ever," Revelation 11:15.
Further in this biblical prophecy is more about this heavenly being: "And I saw heaven opened. and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war...And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His Name is called The Word of Yahweh the Eternal...And He has on His vesture and on His banner a Name written, King of Kings, and Ruler of Rulers," Revelation 19:11, 13, 16.
This soon-coming world Ruler is the Savior of men, the prophesied Messiah--the anointed King.
The people who lived during the time of our Savior's first earthly appearance expected Him to set up His Kingdom at that time. Even His close followers expected Him to take over as king. They did not understand the purpose of His first appearance as a man. Our Savior taught His followers that He must first die as a sacrifice for the sins of the world. Then He would ascend to His Father's throne in heaven and would come again to set up His kingdom on earth and to reign for 1,000 years. Our Savior spoke of His Second Coming in Matthew 25:31. "When the Son of Man shall come in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the throne of His glory: and before Him shall be gathered all nations...." When He comes He will indeed judge the nations!
OUR SAVIOR'S KINGSHIP ESTABLISHED
Before the birth of our Savior, the messenger from our Heavenly Father spoke to Miriam (called Mary) and gave her this prophecy, "And, behold, you shall conceive in your womb, and bring forth a son, and shall call His name Yahshua. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and Yahweh the Almighty shall give to him the throne of his father David," Luke 1:31,32.
The prophet Isaiah in the Old Testament prophesied of His reign also, "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the Almighty One, the Father of Eternity, the Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever," Isaiah 9:6-7.
These prophecies clearly show that our Savior will sit upon the throne of David. His government will be set up on this earth, and He will reign from Jerusalem as did King David. The prophet Zechariah spoke of that time, "And Yahweh the Eternal shall be King over all the earth: and in that day Yahweh the Eternal will prove to be a Unity, and with one Name," Zechariah 14:9.
THE TIME OF RESTITUTION
When our Savior comes again to rule this earth, He will never allow it to fall back into the hands of corrupt men. This Kingdom age will be an era of peace and prosperity throughout all the earth. It will be a time of regeneration and restitution. Our Savior spoke of this in Matthew 19:28, "Verily I say unto you, That you who have followed Me, in the 'regeneration' when the Son of Man shall sit in the throne of His glory, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel."
In this passage the Messiah called the Kingdom age a time of regeneration. It will be a time of restoration--a spiritual rebirth. The Apostle Peter said that the Savior would remain in heaven until this time.
"...the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of Yahweh the Eternal, until He shall send Yahshua the Anointed King Who has been previously appointed for you: Whom the heaven must retain until the times of restitution of all things, which Yahweh has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the beginning of the ages," Acts 3:19-21.
These Scriptures show that the earth will be restored to an Edenic state, both spiritually and physically, at the Second Coming of our Savior.
THE THOUSAND-YEAR REIGN ON EARTH
When our Savior returns, those who died in the faith will be resurrected first at the beginning of His thousand-year reign. "For Yahshua himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of the Almighty: and the dead in the Anointed King shall rise first; then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet Yahshua in the air..., " 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17.
Those who are resurrected at this time will reign with our Savior. "Blessed and holy is he that has part in the first resurrection; on such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of the Most High and of the Anointed King, and shall reign with Him a thousand years," Revelation 2O:6. Those in the first resurrection are made immortal, raised as spirit beings, no longer flesh and blood.
You can have a part in that one-thousand-year reign of our Savior. If you live a life of obedience to His laws and commandments, you can be assured of a position of rulership in the Kingdom, Revelation 2:26. Learn of His laws that will be enforced in the Millennial reign of Yahshua the Messiah.
THE KINGDOM ON EARTH
Where will those who take part in the first resurrection reign with the Savior? Will it be in Heaven? or will it be here on earth? We have already seen that when our Savior returns that He will sit on the "throne of His glory" of His forefather David. We know that David's throne was on earth. We also know when the Savior returns He will be "King over all the earth," Zechariah 14. We know that the redeemed who will be in the first resurrection will reign with Him for 1,OOO years.
Since our Savior will then be reigning over all the earth on the throne of David, we can conclude that those who take part in the first resurrection will be reigning with Him on the earth! This is exactly what we find in Revelation 5:9-10.
"And they sang a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open the seals thereof: for You were slain, and have redeemed us to Yahweh by Your blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; and have made us unto our Almighty, kings and priests, and we shall reign on the earth.
Our Savior also taught the disciples to pray, "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven," Matthew 6:10.
Our Heavenly Father has a purpose in everything He does. There is a perfect design in His plan of salvation. We can only understand that plan by what He has revealed in His Word. Scriptures indicate that during this 1,000-year period all things are brought back into subjection to our Heavenly Father. This is the reason for this 1,000-year reign on earth by our Savior.
"For as in Adam all die, even so in the Messiah shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Messiah the firstfruits; afterward they that are the Messiah's at His coming. Then comes the end, when He shall have delivered up the Kingdom to the Most High, even the Father; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign until He has put all enemies under His feet," 1 Corinthians 15:22-25.
From the prophecies we have seen so far, we can conclude that our Savior will reign until all enemies are put under His feet. The enemies will include Satan, disobedient and wicked people, sin, suffering, sickness and death. "The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death," 1 Corinthians 15:26.
All this will be completed by the end of the 1,000-year reign. Then our Savior will turn over all authority to the Heavenly Father. Thus will end the rebellion started by Satan the devil.
"And when all things shall be subdued unto Him, then shall the Son also Himself be subject unto Him that put all things under Him, that Yahweh may be all in all." I Corinthians 15:28.
THE GREAT TRIBULATION
Just before our Savior returns there will be a time of great trouble on the earth. Our Savior prophesied of this in Matthew 24:21-22, "For then shall there be great tribulation such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved; but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened."
Our Savior continues this prophecy in Luke 21:20, 22. He says, "And when you shall see Jerusalem surrounded with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is near. For these are the days of vengeance...," Luke 21:20, 22. Jerusalem will be taken and Yahweh will have His vengeance, Zechariah 14:1-3, Revelation 18:8.
At this time our Savior will return and the armies surrounding Jerusalem will be destroyed. "And this shall be the plague wherewith Yahweh will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their sockets, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth," Zechariah 14:12.
That same day our Savior and all the saints with Him will stand upon the Mount of Olives. The mountain will divide and make a great valley, Zechariah 14:4. Then Satan will be bound for a thousand years, Revelation 20:2, 3. The Kingdom will at last be established at Jerusalem, and our Savior and His faithful followers will begin the 1,000-year reign.
THE KINGDOM - WHAT IT WILL BE LIKE
When the Kingdom is established, the earth will be turned into a paradise.
Isaiah the prophet prophesied, "The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice, even with joy and singing.... Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and tongue of the dumb sing, for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water," Isaiah 35:1-2, 5-7.
The people of the earth will finally be taught the ways of right living during this new era. Such is shown in the symbolic language of Isaiah 2. In this passage, mountains symbolize governments.
"And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of Yahweh the Eternal shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, 'Come, let us go up to the mountain of Yahweh the Eternal, to the house of the Almighty of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways and we will walk in His paths; for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem. And He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people. And they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more," Isaiah 2:2-4.
Wars and senseless killings will stop. The materials previously used to make war implements will be used to make agricultural tools. Man will be taught to use his skill and strength for constructive purposes instead of those of destruction.
Here is more about this wonderful new age: "And they shall build houses and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them...and My elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands...And it shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking I will hear. The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock, and dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, says Yahweh the Eternal," Isaiah 65:21-25.
Even the animals will have their dispositions changed during the kingdom. The wildest animals will become domesticated. This is shown again in Isaiah 11:6-9, "The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together, and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp [viper], and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder's den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Yahweh, as the waters cover the sea."
The kingdom age will indeed be a wonderful time for all the inhabitants of the earth. The earth will be restored to an edenic paradise as it was before Adam and Eve sinned.
THE END OF THE THOUSAND YEARS
After the 1,000 years have passed, Satan will be released again and he will deceive the nations. He will gather the nations together to attack Jerusalem and the people of the Most High in the valley which had been made in the area of Jerusalem. Our Heavenly Father will intervene at this time and destroy them.
"And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and surrounded the camp of the saints, and the beloved city, and fire came down from Yahweh the Eternal out of heaven and devoured them," Revelation 20:9.
After the destruction of the nations, all the dead are raised. This is the second resurrection, Revelation 20:5, 11-15. This is known as the Great White Throne of Judgment where, "...the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books according to their works," Revelation 20:12.
Then a new heaven and a new earth is created. John writes of this, "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from Yahweh the Eternal out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband," Revelation 21:1-2.
In this new world there will be no more sorrows as there were in the previous world system. The prophecy states, "And Yahweh the Eternal shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And He that sat upon the throne said, 'Behold, I make all things new,'" Revelation 21:4-5.
